(ii) Acknowledging the urgent need to promote cooperatives in the cultural sector to defend the lives and livelihoods of creative workers;
(iii) Realizing further, the 5th Cooperative Principle as the important instrument to promote cooperative culture.
The main objectives of participating in Mondiacult are the following:
a. Make known widely, the scale, scope, and potential of cooperatives in the cultural sector
b. Position cooperatives in the UNESCO discussions regarding cultural policies for sustainable development
c. Help cooperative organizations leverage the support – financial and otherwise, extended by UNESCO for institutions supporting culture
