The SPARS team is hosting two live trainings on new versions of the CMHS data collection tools – Infrastructure Development, Prevention and Mental Health Promotion (IPP) Result Form and National Outcome Measures (NOMs) Client-Level Measures for Discretionary Programs Providing Direct Services tool. The new tools intend to reduce administrative burden and improve data quality. Grantees should begin using the new tools on December 10, 2022.
This registration is for the training on Tuesday, 9/27 at 2-4pm ET. The training is also offered on Thursday, 9/29 at 10:30am-12:30pm ET. The trainings cover the same content so choose the one that works best for you. A recording will be posted on SPARS.
•Sessions are open to all CMHS Grantees, SPARS users, and GPOs collecting and submitting program-level IPP data and/or client-level NOMs data
•During each session, we will:
>Discuss importance of the data
>Provide high-level overview of the process for use and submission
>Walk through the main sections of the new tools
>Provide information about timeline, resources and next steps
>Share resources including:
~Word and PDF versions of new tools
~Crosswalks comparing expiring tools to new ones
~Question-by-Question guide of new tools
~Quick Reference Guide pulling most important information into one place
~Codebook for NOMs tool
Interviews using the old NOMs tool should be completed by December 9, 2022 and any data from the old tools entered into SPARS on or before noon ET January 3, 2023. Data entry and batch upload for the new tools begins in SPARS on January 4, 2023. Data and results for assigned IPP indicators should be collected beginning October 1, 2022.
