THRIVE's Top 50 reports are an annual ranking of the top AgTech and FoodTech companies who are pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology. Top 50 companies are scouted for their exemplary leadership teams, technology, traction and funding acceleration. Given the pressing nature of our planet’s environmental challenges, we have a strong focus on sustainability this year with a recognition of the ten leading companies in the space, analyzing their beneficial impact on the planet through their technological innovations.

This year’s report highlights the leading AgTech and FoodTech companies across sixteen industry categories and is the culmination of six-months rigorous research and analysis by the SVG Ventures team with input from SVG Ventures corporate partners. The Top 50 AgTech categories this year include Agribusiness Marketplace, Animal Technology, Controlled Environment Ag., Crop Nutrition, Crop Protection, Farm Management & Insights, Plant Breeding Platform, and Robotics & Automation while the Top 50 FoodTech includes Alternative Protein, Food Quality & Safety, Health & Nutrition, Marketplaces & Retail, Meal Kits, Novel Ingredients, Restaurant Tech and Supply Chain & Logistics.

To qualify for a coveted spot on THRIVE’s Top 50 listing, a company must have a product in market, have received a minimum of series A funding, and be ready to scale.
