Minimally Invasive Parafascicular Surgery (MIPS): A Deficit-Sparing Approach

Managing subcortical abnormalities has historically posed a difficult challenge for neurosurgeons as minimally disruptive access has been limited. However, modern advancements in neurosurgical technology and refined surgical techniques over the past decade now allow for more surgically appropriate intervention, an increase in surgical efficiencies and consistency in improved clinical outcomes as compared to historical measures.
