(Deputy Executive Director @The Legal Aid Society of Westchester County) Wallach is the Deputy Executive Director of The Legal Aid Society of Westchester County and Secretary of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). In January 2020, Sherry was elected president of NYSBA on June 1, 2021. She will assume the role of NYSBA President on June 1, 2022. She was a coach for the Pace Law School National Trial Team for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years. Sherry is a member of the Board of Directors of the Westchester County Bar Association. She is on the NYSBA Task Force on Parole Reform, where she co-chairs the subcommittee on supervision and is a member of the NYSBA House of Delegates. She is also a member of the NYSBA Committee on Professional Discipline and the NYSBA LGBTQ People and the Law Committee, which is now the newest NYSBA section. In 2018-2019 she co-chaired the NYSBA Task Force on Incarceration Release Planning and Programs. At the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, Sherry concentrates her practice on Criminal Defense. Delsia G. Marshall, Esq. (Partner @Shafer Partners, LLP) Delsia G. Marshall joined Shafer Partners in 2017. She attended Barnard College of Columbia University and New York University School of Law. At New York University School of Law, she participated in the Urban Law Clinic. She has been litigating personal injury cases from intake to trial for over twenty years. She has lectured on topics related to lead paint poisoning litigation. In addition to her commitment to her profession, she is also actively involved in bar association activities and community groups. She is the past president of the Allen Lawyers’ Guild, a church ministry that sponsors free legal seminars. Dineen E. García, Esq. (Co-Founder & Chief Operating & Inclusion Officer @inclusent) Dineen García is co-founder and chief operating & inclusion officer of Inclusent. Dineen is a successful global leader with multi-industry and legal experience spanning more than two decades. Over the last ten years, Dineen has focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI); her goal is to partner with organizations committed to creating a culture of belonging for optimum success. Before co-founding Inclusent, Dineen was the principal of Diversity Global Consulting. She launched during her 3-year ex-pat experience in Spain, focusing her efforts on gender equity and female empowerment. Before leading her consultancy, Dineen was vice president of diversity and inclusion strategies at Macy’s, where she embedded a holistic strategy enterprise-wide. She served as a Board Director with Girl Scouts USA and Hispanic Federation. Dineen earned her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from Long Island University. Mirna Martinez Santiago, Esq. (CEO & Founder @Girls Rule The Law) MIRNA MARTINEZ SANTIAGO has more than 25 years of legal experience handling various matters. In 2016, Mirna founded Girls Rule the Law (www.girlsrulethelaw.org) to introduce underprivileged middle and high school girls to the law and to provide them the opportunity to interact with mentors in the legal, judiciary, and legislative fields. Mirna lectures on an array of topics – focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion, and the elimination of bias – and has published on legal and non-legal subjects. Mirna has been featured in Latina Magazine and on NBC News, speaking about the Afro-Latina experience. In addition to running Girls Rule the Law, Mirna is currently a Member at the Hurwitz & Fine law firm, has a successful DEI consulting practice (www.mirnasantiago.com), and Co-Chairs the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
