Topic
Openness Webinar #3 from UAR Oceania - the importance of internal communications
Date & Time

Selected Sessions:

Nov 17, 2023 03:00 AM

Description
For signatories of the Australia and New Zealand Openness Agreements on Animal Research and Teaching, and those still considering signing up. This webinar includes ideas for getting started, what to expect, the support and advice available. Greater openness about research does not necessarily mean more public engagement, or bringing journalists in. These can be valuable approaches, but for many organisations the first steps will be to consider, and change internal practices. This means communicating effectively with their own staff, so that animal research is discussed, clearly, honestly and openly with those who are interested or concerned. In this session Bella will discuss the role of internal communications getting started with openness. This webinar will be live at the time stated, and the session recording will be available to all for 72 hours after the end of the webinar. You will need to register to view the recording. All past webinars are available to UAR Oceania members through the video portal. If you work for a member organsiation and are unsure how to access these, contact Bella.
