Property managers, developers, and service providers often struggle in self-made (often unintentional) silos. This training session will explore ways to increase efficiency and impact to retain our most vulnerable in housing. When property manager and supportive services are working hand in hand, housing providers can ensure higher levels of resident retention and greater levels of collaboration to improve operations and services. During this training session, presenters will cover key elements of the ideal relationship between the property management side and services, including cross coordination with all areas/departments, such as acquisitions; planning and development; construction; property management/relocation; facilities and overall maintenance; compliance/asset management; and social services. Session speakers will cover communication, reprogramming the property management mindset, different perspectives and objectives of departments, housing retention and violation mitigation, and how successful partnerships can improve retention and resident well being.
