The purpose of this Stakeholder Meeting is for the Land Surveyors Subcommittee and the Board to receive feedback regarding the following items related to the Practice of Land Surveying: 1. New Rule to implement Colorado HB24-1329 - CONCERNING THE CONTINUATION OF THE STATE BOARD OF LICENSURE FOR ARCHITECTS, PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS, AND PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYORS, AND, IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, IMPLEMENTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS CONTAINED IN THE 2023 SUNSET REPORT BY THE DEPARTMENT OF REGULATORY AGENCIES – The purpose is to establish Continuing Education Requirements for Renewal of the Professional Land Surveyors. 2. New Rule/section - To be considered for possible incorporation into Board Rule 1.6: ● Currently there is no requirement for precision or accuracy. Consider adding a new rule to require positional accuracy to ensure acceptable accuracy/positional standards and/or acceptable closures. ● Consider adding a new rule to define "Plot Plans" and “Site Plans “that are used in construction and the work within these plans has expanded to engineering and land surveying and need to be defined to protect consumers by ensuring the work meets standards. ● Consider adding a new rule regarding modification/clarification on Improvement Survey Plats regarding underground utilities, building ties, building dimensions, title work requirements. 3. The Board is soliciting feedback on several possible new Rules.
