Town of Cobourg's Women in Governance Speaker Series: The Honourable Kathleen Wynne
The Town of Cobourg's Women in Governance Speaker Series is a set of special events taking place from June 7th to August 31st to encompass the newly launched Women in Governance: Leadership and Mentoring Program.

This program is designed to begin to break down the barriers for women to enter into the political sphere, whether they are starting their careers or wanting to pivot to something new.

The Women in Governance: Leadership and Mentoring Program is a twelve (12) week program for women and gender non-conforming individuals to learn more about working in public sector. The program will allow each participant to be matched with a mentor who identifies as a woman or gender non-conforming and is an elected official.

This Speaker Series Event is joined by the Honourable Kathleen Wynne who has served the member of provincial parliament (MPP) for the Toronto riding of Don Valley West since October 3, 2003. She was the first female premier of Ontario, and first openly gay premier in Canada.
