The geomembrane and geosynthetics industry spend a great deal of time, effort and energy talking about, measuring and worrying over stabilization and geomembrane OIT/HP-OIT (Oxidative Induction Time).
This effort is useful, but we as a group, tend to ignore other major contributors to lifespan, that is a good base resin, with the proper density, copolymer/monomer, branching and a resin that is designed for use as a geomembrane. Then that resin must be properly converted to geomembrane, properly homogenized, protected from excess thermal exposure and made with good manufacturing practices.
The webinar will begin with a short presentation by Boyd Ramsey listing and explaining the “non-OIT” considerations. A panel of long-time industry participants will then join and offer their opinions on assuring geomembrane lifespan.
