Having access to data that are disaggregated—broken down and
analyzed by age, race/ethnicity, gender, income, or other key
variables—can help us expose hidden social patterns and trends,
identify vulnerable populations, and serve target populations more effectively.
The U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS) is a
rich source of information about different population subgroups in the United States.
In this webinar, experts from PRB, the National Equity Atlas, and Children's Action Alliance will provide a concise overview of the ACS and how to access the data, how the ACS can be used to address equity issues, and best practices and potential pitfalls in using ACS data in your work.
