HSCN 2023 Legislative Session Update

Description

This activity will provide our staff nurses, nurse leaders, and nursing workforce planners with an update on the 2023 Legislative Session as it relates to nursing.

Learner outcomes include:

Explain the importance of legislation on nursing practice and access to health care.
Summarize state legislation that impacts or includes nursing practice and healthcare.
Describe how to engage in policy advocacy at a state level
Define the role of HSCN in policy advocacy.

The Hawai`i State Center for Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

The Hawai‘i State Center for Nursing designates this activity for a maximum of 1.0 contact hour.
