On Thursday 23 september, the JASON institute will host its first event of this academic year!
The Russia – Turkey relationship is a complex one, with geopolitical power play by both sides leading to uneasy tensions. This JASON event will discuss both these tensions as well as the cooperation within Turkish-Russian relations. The foundation of these topics will not only be laid by analysing the history of the relationship of these two countries, but also by presenting a general overview of the International Relations between these countries. Recent political events such as the clashes between NATO and Russia, will be taken into the debate as well by looking at the potential implications of these events for transatlantic relations.
To inform us on this crucial topic, we have invited none other than Isa Yusibov.
Isa Yusibov has a background as an Eurasia geopolitical risk analyst, predominantly focusing on Russia and Turkey. Based upon his broad area of expertise he has contributed to various think tanks and (inter)national media outlets, numerous corporate intelligence companies over the last years, while also being a guest speaker at relevant institutions such as the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
We hope to welcome you to this event.
