Faith Talks on Gratitude and Giving

Dear Friend,

As the year winds to a close, it is an ideal time to think about the blessings we’ve received this year and celebrate the ways in which we’ve shown up for our neighbors, family and friends. Between now and Nov. 17, please think about a blessing you given or received – big or small – and how it impacted your life. Then join the Nov. 17 Faith Talks and be prepared to share with our audience. No need to share anything that is deeply personal – the idea is to take a moment and honor the people who have made an impact in our lives. As you know, this temporary format change is a first for the Faith Talks podcast; we’ve never opened the floor for multiple audience members to speak and share with each other or with me. But we want this episode to be interactive and transformative. And don’t worry, if you’d rather not share, please do not feel any pressure. Simply join as usual and open your heart to be blessed. Additionally, if you would like to share, keep in mind that we will only be able to have a few folks speak as we only have one hour for the recording. But if this is of interest, just think about what you’d like to share and then raise your hand during the episode and we’ll call on as many people as possible. To kick us off, I’ll interview Shannon Priddy, past president of United Women in Faith, to discuss the ways in which she supported special causes as a fundraiser and leader.
