In the context of the ongoing energy price crisis and given our long term environmental and energy security objectives, it is clear that Europe cannot afford to waste energy. Energy efficiency solutions such as cogeneration are vital to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and to extract the maximum amount of useful energy from valuable renewable resources.
This online event will provide an overview of how the ‘energy efficiency first’ principle, applied across the entire energy value chain – in energy consumption, energy production and across integrated energy grids, can put Europe on a fast track to energy independence and decarbonisation.
The webinar will highlight examples of best practices involving the smart integration of energy efficient and renewable energy solutions, including district heating, waste heat recovery, renewable gases and hydrogen complemented by high efficiency cogeneration.
Speakers will present examples of best practice from Belgium, Germany and Italy which can be scaled up to significantly contribute towards achieving the objectives of the EU Green Deal and the REPowerEU plan announced by the European Commission on 8 March 2022.
This webinar is organised in the framework of the 'Power & Heat Boost' series of events hosted by COGEN Europe, the European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration (https://www.cogeneurope.eu/).
Registration is FREE and everyone is welcome!
