We have always strived to promote stronger collaboration between and among our offices, especially on issues that many of us work with partners on the ground.
In this regard, we are inviting you to the second episode of RLS New York - Geneva discussion on the ‘Systemic Transformation Needs for a Global Just Transition’ on October 20th at 9-10.30am EST / 15:00-16:30pm CET, to learn more about how Just Transition and Climate Justice are intersecting in the United States of America.
A lot international climate attention this year has focused on the US. As the world’s largest historical emitter and global hegemon, this makes sense, especially as the US’ climate policy has shifted dramatically this year. In this second webinar of our series, we will talk to Dharna Noor, Climate Journalist at the Boston Globe, to understand the shifting terrains in the US post West Virginia v. EPA at the Supreme Court, and the largest climate bill ever passed in the US, the Investment Recovery Act or IRA, passed this summer. In the lead up to COP 27, come join us to hear what the US climate politics mean both domestically and internationally, and what we should look for in understanding US climate politics on a global stage.
This is a joint initiative of the New York and Geneva office, with the support of colleagues in Berlin.
