Connecting the Dots: Maternal Mortality and Maternal Mental Health
Maternal mortality and morbidity continues to be a major public health crisis in Ohio. However, discussions about the contributing factors to maternal mortality and morbidity often don't include maternal mental health. National and statewide data demonstrate that maternal mental health must be recognized as a part of the comprehensive picture of maternal health and well-being.

On Wednesday, May 25th at 11:00 AM EST, please join Groundwork Ohio's Center for Maternal & Young Child Health for an in-depth virtual conversation on maternal mental health and the relationship between maternal mental health and maternal mortality.

The webinar will feature community-based organizations, providers, advocates, and people with lived experience who will share the unique ways they are supporting the mental health of pregnant Ohioans and mothers in their communities and advancing equity. Speakers include:

• Dr. Lindsay Admon, M.D., M.Sc., of the University of Michigan’s Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation
• Lisa Amlung Holloway, Director of Maternal Infant Health at March of Dimes
• Dr. Angela Neal-Barnett, Ph.D., Psychology Professor, Author, and Founder of the Spirit of Motherhood Program at Kent State University
• Becca Alexander, Senior Manager of Statewide Operations at Mental Health America of Ohio
• Tammie S. Jones, Sr. Director of Programs & Behavioral Health with Birthing Beautiful Communities
• Lindsay Ciavarelli, Director of the Center for Maternal & Young Child Health

May 25, 2022 11:00 AM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
