National RTAP, AASHTO Multi-State Transit Technical Assistance Program (MTAP), and National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC) are hosting a Risky Business II: Insurance for Nonprofits and Small Transit Agencies webinar on December 14, 2022 from 2:00-3:00 PM ET. This webinar will provide nonprofit organizations that offer transportation and small public transit agencies with information and tips about insuring their assets. Participants will also learn about volunteer insurance and insurance pools for small organizations.
The webinar panelists are Madelyn Carlson, CEO, People for People; Sarah McDonnell, Director, Non Profit Insurance Program (NPIP); and William Henry, Vice President, Volunteers Insurance Service Association, Inc.

Established in 1965, People For People is a non-profit agency located in rural and central Washington whose mission is to strengthen communities with resources and opportunities to empower people and enrich lives. Madelyn is a strong advocate for partnerships to increase community resources for strong and healthy communities. She represents public transportation on Yakima Valley Conference of Government’s, MPO/RTPO Policy Board and serves on the Board of Directors for Non-Profit Insurance Program (NPIP) and Greater Columbia Accountable Community of Health to represent and promote rural and eastern Washington’s complex needs. Sarah McDonnell (Director @Non Profit Insurance Program (NPIP)) Sarah McDonnell is the director of the Non Profit Insurance Program (NPIP). Sarah has been a City Council member for the City of Ephrata, since 2018 and enjoys the Grant County area, lifestyle, opportunities, and people. Sarah received her Associate in Accounting from Big Bend Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Mexico. Sarah has her Washington State P&C license and has earned her Certified Program’s Leader (CPL) designation. William Henry (Vice President @Volunteers Insurance Service Association) William Henry is vice president of Volunteers Insurance Service Association (www.visvolunteers.com), which provides insurance and risk management services for volunteer-based organizations nationwide. He has presented Webinars and on-site workshops on managing the risks associated with volunteer engagement, for more than 40 nonprofit organizations and conferences nationwide. He also creates the content for VIS’s email publication, First Light Facts (www.firstlightfacts.com.)
