My Chat with a Bank CEO

“My Chat with a Bank CEO” is an unprecedented social media event presented by the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA).

Hundreds of bank customers have registered to participate in the #CEOChat sessions during which various bank Chief Executive Officers share information and receive feedback on various aspects of banking. In March 2022, the Association conducted three editions of the Chat, bringing on board CEOs from DIB Bank Kenya, Rafiki Microfinance Bank, and Bank of Africa. These chats had an online reach of over 70 million, providing the individual banks with considerable PR value and industry thought leadership opportunities.

Under the theme: “International Trade Opportunities & Financing” the next chat has been scheduled for November 2022 and will feature four bank CEOs who will engage the public on opportunities for growth through international trade.

It is important to note that while participating bank CEOs can share a few bank-level perspectives, the #CEOChat focuses on industry-level discussions and industry-level thought leadership.

The four-week engagement will feature four Bank CEOs: Mr. Asim Basharullah (Habib Bank AG Zurich); Mr. Raphael Lekolool (Postbank); Mr. Chike Isiuwe (UBA Bank); and Dr. Hussein Hassan (First Community Bank).
