Facility Needs and Financing Opportunities for Teaching Health Centers
Research has consistently demonstrated that physicians trained in health centers are more than three times as likely to work in a health center in the future and more than twice as likely to work in an underserved area than those trained elsewhere. The establishment and expansion of primary care residency programs at health centers, referred to as “teaching health centers”, increases access to primary care services for vulnerable communities. Learn more about the facility needs and various sources of funding available to teaching health centers, including federal development grants. The webinar will be co-presented by Gina McFarlane-El, CEO of Five Rivers Health Centers in Ohio, who will share her experiences with implementing a residency training program.
