To what degree are SoC site-specific programs about hunger, justice and intimidation also opportunities to clarify the contexts of pertinent national crises, especially if teachers don't take a big-picture approach?

In 2 of the 3 programs presented, the museums were approached by an outside agency and asked to partner. Would you have done a program like this if you had not been approached? Also, these programs seems "reactive" to an immediate issue, not proactive. (this is not a criticism, but just an observation). In retrospect, do you anticipate working on more "proactive" programming in the future?
